PENMACHNO MTB TRAIL CONDITION SURVEY
A report commissioned by Conwy Borough Council and Menter Bro Machno Community Group. The report carried out an extensive condition survey of the 30 km MTB trail system. It also identified opportunities for further upgrades, new trail sections, future access opportunities and trail developments. The report made costed recommendations for upgrades, new sections, income generation, events and future funding opportunities.
The report helped to secure funding for two new sections of trail and a marketing budget for digital promotion.
Condition survey looks at all aspects of condition from vegetation encroachment, drainage, trail tread condition, fall zones, trail grade etc.. to name a few. All features inspected are then graded in order of priority and urgency and an action and recommendation made for each.
