We can merge into existing project teams at last minute or work independently. We can produce all contract and tender documents along with the management of the procurement process, all within yours or the funders procurement guidelines and regulations.

Contractor Side - We are experts at winning new work. Be it a single small tender or a first time attempt at placing on a National Framework Agreement, we can maximise your chances of winning. We are asked most often to get business's fit for tendering opportunities.

We consistently achieve tender or bid win rates of over 78% for our clients. Industry commentators and news feeds all indicate an increase in demand for outsourcing of bids and tenders. Tender and bid preparation is both complicated and time consuming, frameworks even more so, it takes years to skill up and develop systems and experience. Requirements from clients are increasingly demanding, detailed and heavily process and evidenced based. Thus were finding clients are turning to out sourcing as they see the benefits of gaining our experience immediately, whilst they continue to run their business or provide their product or service of which they too are experts at.

Case Study 1 - Client Side

Parish Council - Pump Track Project

Service Provided by CA - First time the Parish council had managed a construction contract.

A one off fixed fee contract to produce the procurement documents for the Parish Council. CA had earlier been appointed to design the pump track. We were then asked to produce the construction contract documents, manage the procurement i.e. go to public tender to find and secure a suitable construction contractor to build the pump track. We completed the documents, managed the procurement process through the clients chosen procurment portal, then remained on hand as the client received bids, scored and appointed the winning contractor. Often on these contracts we are offer several bolts on services as clients require i.e. managing and obtaining planning permission, found sourcing or bid preparation and management, user consultations etc… In this particular case a highly experienced specialist build company was selected, the client received an outstanding highest quality build for a competitive price along with additional added value items due to the terms built into the tender. End result - an outstanding track designed and built that enjoys exceptionally high use and provided much needed play value to meet the Parish councils masterplan and objectives.

Case Study 2 - Contractor Side

Construction Contractor - First time tendering looking to secure a place on a 4 year National Framework Contract.

Service Provided by CA - A one off contract with a particular contract in mind. We developed an immediate action plan to ensure the client was tender ready, this included a full suit of policies and documents ready to hand to take part and respond to the tendering environment. We then developed the clients offer and aligned it to the framework requirements. Once tender ready we began developing the framework bid with the client, managing the process and submission process. Once uploaded we remained on hand to support the client through the query and appointment process. The end result, this client at first time of attempting to tender was placed on a highly valuable 4 year framework, they placed second out of a final four in a highly competitive field of over 40 other contractors who tendered.

Case Study 3 - Contractor Side

Extreme Sports Design & Build Contractor - Looking to expand the scale of its business and move into new markets

Service provided by CA - A full tender writing service. This was a long term contract that required ongoing business and procurement development. The target was to increase turnover by £600,000 per year. After 4 years this has been achieved year on year, often exceeding the target increase required. Many high profile sporting infrastructure projects were secured for this client (56 in total) along with securing a very stable stream of smaller projects. One of the most significant win’s was to move into an entirely new and highly competitive market for this client. This took an 18 month set up, resulting in an incredibly successful run of success for our client which continues to this day, the new market representing over 40% of their annual turnover.

Please note the procurement and tender writing service requires significant commitment from both sides, we can only work with clients who are focused and committed to delivering a first class product or service to the end user or client, they must be able to demonstrate they are in a position to handle the new capacity or increase in business.
