VAN RD JUMP SPOT
Contracted by Forestry Commission Wales to produce a report making recommendations on how they might manage and develop the BMX jump spot at Park y Van near Caerphilly in South Wales, in partnership with the local community group. The report considered and included:
- Risk assessment
- Risk management, user and corporate
- Option appraisal
- Concept plan
- Facility design
- New site flow & layout
- Drafted new user agreements (Memorandum Of Understanding)
- BMX and pump track management proposal
- Car parking provision and layout
- Consultation
- Costings
- Action plan
The report was key to successfully securing an agreement between the users and the site managers. The result being to underpin the long term future of the jump spot after many years of time and effort invested in the site by both parties.
